In mechanical and plant engineering, locking systems with rotary latches or swivel levers are the preferred choice. To ensure smooth operation, it must be ensured that maintenance flaps or doors, for example, are properly and visibly locked. Tools that are often used only serve to evaluate the position of the cam, but do not provide information as to whether doors or maintenance flaps are also securely closed, which represents a security gap.
We solve this challenge with the new DIRAK door contact, which, if desired, can also be retrofitted to installed locking systems with rotary bolts or swivel levers. Installation, assembly can be carried out easily and without tools both indoors and outdoors. The locking status, e.g. of doors, is not only indicated by an LED display, but can also be called up from any location via a management system, thereby achieving a higher security level.
